Thanks for this - look forward to seeing you on 9 July - I'm still carrying your fiver over!.

Plus will post other events - our next one should appeal, and I haven't even put it on the proper events page yet. 6 August it's entitled 'Just a drink' and like Ronseal it does what it says etc.

 Bye for now

RE: Supply Chain Network - London Region

Another invitation to the Young Professionals Forum: On the evening of 12 November the Supply Chain Network will be back to the pub, for a session on Outsourcing Logistics with Martin Williams, Director, Bisham Consulting - The concept of outsourcing all or part of your supply chain has been around for over 30 years. But while the terminology changes, client satisfaction remains relatively low. Logistics Service Providers are characterised as lacking in innovation and failing to deliver on promises. But is it all their fault? Martin will argue that without proper preparation by the client, failure is almost inevitable. A recent presentation that Martin gave on this subject to another CILT group was both thought-provoking and entertaining - a good mix!

RE: Supply Chain Network - London Region - March 2008

On 3 March, Nick Fox of World Design and Trade Co Limited (whose brands include Firetrap) will be talking about "Logistics in five years time", including:

-          Role of IT, how far can we really take it, are we interested in change, or do we just reinforce bad habits.

-          REALLY thinking WAY outside the box, how can we question everything in logistics, to the point of questioning our business model?

You can find more details about the Supply Chain Network on CILT's website: http://www.ciltuk.org.uk/pages/lrsupch. Members of the Young Professionals Forum are always welcome - we usually meet in a pub in the Marylebone/Baker St area..
