Carbon Emissions in Temperature Controlled Distribution

I am researching opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of a food distribution business

The products are transported and stored in chill facilities at 1-4 degrees celsius

Does anyone have any information concerning the percentage of fuel / carbon emissions which are consumed in moving the load from A to B compared to those relating to the refrigeration element?

Many thanks if you can help
