In answer to your questions, yes members can opt out of direct mailings, within the My Membership section of the web site please select My Mailings and you can select what you would like to receive by post and email, or alternatively members can contact the Membership Services Department who can do this on your behalf. In the meantime I will remove third party mailings from your selections.
We are aware that our communication to members needs to be more personalised to their own needs, we hope that the introduction of Professional Sectors and Forums will in some way help but we are also in the process of selecting a new CRM system which will make of world of difference in the relevance of information sent to members.
Also please be assured that members details are never supplied to outside companies, if a company purchases a mailing list, this is always sent to a third party mailing house so data protection is not compromised.
