Hi All
I also understand some of the frustrations we encounter between practical application of the theoretical elements we're studying through Level 5 Diploma and how our "managers" allow you to apply them. Although I fulfill a senior management role in my organisation it is privately owned and subsequently major decisions are always made by our owners. It can be a little irritating.
The benefit I see is more how I manage and liaise with our suppliers. I can use some of the skills learned here when working closely with our freight forwarding and logistics suppliers. It is always a benefit to have studied the theory before we do the job.
I have struggled with time and discipline to complete the qualification and this week have taken one week's holiday to cram and complete Sourcing & Procurement module. I have had true difficulties motivating myself as it is a very self taught diploma and I have no colleagues to share my learnings with. I doubt I will use this route of learning in the future as I have seen no real support from a tutor or other base. This is not a criticism just a comment on this particular route of learning.
If anybody can offer words of support and encouragement this week it would be very gratefully received. If not, I'll work in my cubicle and charge through what I can.
